The patio turns into a pretty banging beer garden too, which is great if you’re looking to celebrate outside.

Oh, and don’t forget we have 14 bedrooms, so your guests can fall into bed, rest their weary heads and enjoy a beautifully cooked breakfast to set them back up the next morning – with a Bloody Mary to give their day an extra kick.

Amazing Christmas Party

We had the most amazing Christmas party here last night. The staff were brilliant – a packed pub, no endless waiting, served promptly. Lovely atmosphere and beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Fundraising Events

The White Lion very kindly organised 3 fundraising events (2 music bingo and a quiz night) raising money for our community charity Rockits Sensory. The first fundraiser raised £580 last week and the next two are planned for the end of the month. We are incredibly and it will make a huge difference to our fundraising goal for a children’s centre in Tenterden. I also would like to add that I have been visiting the White Lion for many years and have ALWAYS had brilliant service. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the food is delicious.

Great Place to Have a Gathering

Do you have parking?

Yes, we’ve got a free car park out the back. You can access this by a driveable alleyway to the right of our pub. Alternatively, there’s plenty of choice for parking in Tenterden.

Can you cater for large groups?

Yes – our lovely dining space is suitable for up to 20 guests to enjoy a sit-down meal. The Saddlery is spot-on for up to 50 guests standing, or 30 seated.

Am I able to pre order my food?

Oh, absolutely. We know it can be tricky to organise large groups when it comes to dining. We can make it easy-peasy.We’ll share a link for your guests to pre order their dishes (and include any allergies or dietary requirements) so that everything is stress-free on the day.
