Staying Over?

How long should you stay in Tenterden?

We love our area of Kent, and we just know you will too. We think a stay of two nights is pretty perfect, but if you’re staying for longer you’ll have a great time (we promise).

There’s so much to see and do in Tenterden. We’ll give you all the hints and tips to make sure Kent is top of your countryside break bucket list, time and time again.

What are the best things to do in Tenterden?

Our high street is bustling with local loveliness (be sure to grab a sausage roll from the bakery) but if you fancy something a bit different, we have that covered too.

Chapel Down Vineyard is close by for wine tasting and tours, along with the Rare Breeds Centre (perfect for petting farmyard animals) and Ashford Designer Outlet within half an hours drive too.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 3pm. If you arrive early and your room isn’t quite ready, there’s plenty of space in our pub (she’s a real beauty) to relax, have a bite to eat or a little tipple.

Arriving early and want to head out? No problem, we’ll hold on to your bags until you’re back.

Check-out is by 11am.

What time is breakfast?

Brekkie is served from 7.30am on weekdays, and 8am on weekends (we all deserve a little lie-in). If your room rate doesn’t include breakfast but you can’t quite resist, fear not, walk-ins are very welcome.

Do you have any family-friendly bedrooms?

Our Bigger Comfy rooms are our family-friendly bedrooms.

These rooms can fit cots for the littlest of guests or fit fold-out beds for the bigger little ones. Kids under 2 stay for free. 2-16 are £15 per night.

Can I bring my dog to stay?

All our Comfy rooms are dog-friendly. Just add your dog to your booking (up to two pooches can stay with you for £15 per night), and we’ll make sure they get a VIP (Very Important Pup) treatment, with a super-comfy doggy bed, blanket and tasty tail-wagging treats.

Do you have any parking?

We’ve got plenty of on-site parking just behind the pub so you’ll not have far to carry your bags.

How do I get to you via public transport?

Ashford and Headcorn are the nearest mainline stations, both 20-25 minutes away.

We can help out with any taxi numbers if you need.

Booking Bits

Can I cancel my booking?

We understand that plans sometimes change, so we try to make our booking policies super flexible. You can cancel or modify your booking up to 12pm the day before your arrival. If you cancel outside of this time or don’t show up, we’re sorry, but we’ll have to charge you for the first night of your stay. The only rate that’s not flexible is the Early Bird, this one’s non-refundable and non-amendable.

Can I make changes to my booking?

You can make changes to your booking up to 12pm the day before your arrival. This includes changes to your package, room and extras (as long as it’s available). The only rate that’s not flexible is the Early Bird, this one’s non-amendable.

Can I get a copy of my invoice?

Of course. When booking online, you have the option to send an invoice in step 2. Missed this step? Not to worry, just ask at Reception and the team will email you a copy. Checked out already? Pop us an email and we’ll send one right over.
